HISTORICAL PROSPECTS
prospects_slider
Blue Moon Exploration has established a solid track record of generating high quality prospects which have produced significant amounts of oil and natural gas. Below are select recent discoveries.
NORTH LIRETTE
  • Status: Producing
  • Cumulative Production: 62,000 Bbls, 243 Mmcf
  • Spud Date: March 2010
  • Terrebonne Parish, LA
  • Identified with 3D Seismic
  • Logged abundant pay in multiple zones
  • Target Formations: Dularge Sands
  • Faulted anticlinal closure along the downthrown trace of the major East-West striking regional growth fault that sets up Lirette Field. New 3D seismic data showed that the structure is actually a faulted anticline with significant structural gain upthrown to a bisecting tear fault.
PLUM
  • Status: Producing
  • Spud Date: June 2010
  • Lafourche Parish, LA
  • Identified with 3D Seismic
  • Logged abundant pay in multiple zones
  • Target Formations: Textularia "L" Sands
  • Downthrown three-way dipping closure trapped against a major North-South oriented regional growth fault. Seismic indicated that several of the potential oil sands have flat spot amplitude anomalies
SAVANNE D'OR
  • Status: Producing
  • Cumulative Production: 2,205,682 Bbls, 4,508 Mmcf
  • 3 Wells
  • Spud Date: April 2003, August 2003, August 2004
  • Lafourche Parish, LA
  • Identified with 3D Seismic
  • Logged abundant pay in multiple zones
  • Target Formations: Miocene Sand. Production is from cib carst aged (Miocene) sands situated in a fault tear structure. The prospect was drilled in 2003 and resulted in three new well completions (LL&E 1, Perrin 1, and Folse 1). As of February 2011, two of the three wells (LL&E 1 and Perrin 1) are still active and producing approximately 250 BOPD and 430 MCFPD from the two wells. Both active wells have several zones behind pipe and the prospect is expected to produce for many more years
