WHO: Blue Moon
Exploration Company (BMEC) was founded in 1994 by Michel Bechtel and Tom
McWhorter with the purpose of exploring for oil & gas primarily in the Gulf
coast region.
WHAT: BMEC blends
state of the art technology with good old fashioned oil business techniques to
high grade their prospect inventory and increase their success rate. Our staff
has extensive exploration experience both with major oil companies as well as a
host of successful independent oil companies.
WHERE: BMEC is
located in Houston, Texas, but has numerous strategic relationships with
independents, consulting firms and law offices located in Louisiana.
HOW: BMEC and
it’s staff is highly respected in the industry for combining complete subsurface
and engineering interpretations with the 2D and 3D seismic data. The company
uses state-of-the-art software packages such as SMT’s Kingdom Suite, Larson
Graphics and the Microsoft Office Suite to interpret, organize and present its
prospects to prospective partners.
